JONATHAN REYNOLDS THOMSON, a son of John Thomson, was born in Conway, N. H., January 21, 1799. He was prepared for college, at the academy, in Fryeburg, Me., under the tuition of Rev. Amos J. Cook. After graduating, he taught school in North Yarmouth, Me., and in Conway, N. H. In 1828, he commenced the study of medicine, with Ruel Barrows, M. D., of Fryeburg, Me. In 1831, he graduated at Dartmouth Medical College, and, in 1832, commenced the practice of his profession, in Conway, N. H., where he has since resided.
He represented his native town, in the New Hampshire Legislature, one year, and has held the office of town clerk, the last ten years.
He was married, January 21, 1836, to Miss Abigail H. Eastman, a daughter of Thomas Eastman, of Conway, N. H. She died, October 3, 1846, and he was again married to Miss Mary R. Hill, of Conway, N. H. He has six children;--Sarah Elizabeth, Abby, Jonathan Edwards, Mary Evans, Eunice Jane, and Henry Abiathar.
