JOHN JUTEAU SANBORN, a son of Reuben Sanborn, was born in Boston, Mass., in 1797. He pursued his preparatory studies at Phillips Exeter Academy ; entered college in the autumn of 1823; left at the close of the Freshman year; taught school in Portsmouth, Concord, Sandwich, and other towns in New Hampshire, until the summer of 1837; in Baltimore, Md., about three years; in Charlestown, Va., thirteen years; and then removed to Leesburg, Va., where he is now employed in the same business.
He was married, in the autumn of 1837, to Miss Laura Swasey, of Meredith Bridge, N. H., and has one son, John
Juteau.
