LYMAN LEWIS RIX, a son of Daniel
Rix, was born in Royalton, Vt., March 15, 1805. He was prepared for college at Royalton, under the tuition of Messrs. Joseph Tracy, and John Willard. After graduating, he studied medicine with Joseph A. Denison, M. D., in Royalton, for some time, and then commenced the practice of Dentistry, which he continued, in Royalton and the neighboring towns, until April, 1852; when he removed to Rochester, Vt., where he has since resided; devoting himself principally to agricultural pursuits.
He was married, in 1843, to Mrs. Mary Wells, of Wentworth, N. H., and has two children; Daniel, and Martha.
