DAVID PILLSBURY, was born in Raymond, N. H., February, 17, 1802. His father, Benjamin Pillsbury, died in Candia, N. H., in 1835. He was prepared for college, partly, at the academies in Atkinson, and Exeter, N. H., but principally, at the academy in Pembroke, N. H., under the tuition of Hon. John Vose. After graduating, he studied law with Hon. Henry Hubbard, in Charlestown, N. H., and with Hon. Samuel D. Bell, in Chester, N. H. He was admitted to the bar in 1830, and commenced practice in Chester; where he has since resided.
He has twice represented the town of Chester in the N. H. Legislature; is a Justice of the Peace and of the Quorum, throughout the State, and a Trustee of the N. H. Asylum for the Insane. He was, for several years, a Major General of the N. H. militia.
