THOMAS CHILD HALE, a son of David Hale, of Boston, Mass., was horn in Portland, Me., June 20, 1802. He was prepared for college at the Latin School in Boston, and at the academy in Hampton, N. H. After graduating, his health did not admit of his studying a profession, or pursuing any active business. He died of consumption, in Charlestown, Mass., October 29, 1842.
He made a profession of religion by uniting with the Essex Street Church, in Boston, March, 1826. From that time to his death, he maintained a consistent walk, and was the warm friend of Temperance and every good cause."
