LEVI BARTLETT was born in Warren, N. H. October 4, 1806.
His father, Ezra Bartlett, M. D., youngest son of Josiah Bartlett, one of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, removed to Haverhill, N. H., in 1812.
He was prepared for college at the academy in Havhill, N. H.
under the tuition of Andrew Mack, Esq. After graduating, he resided in Virginia, until 1835;
during which time he taught school, studied law, and commenced the study of medicine.
In 1835, he returned to Haverhill, and completed his medical studies with his father.
In 1837, he graduated at the Dartmouth Medical College, and removed to Syracuse, N. Y.
In January, 1838, he settled in Skeneateles, N. Y., where he has since practised his profession.
He was married, August 26, 1833, to Miss Amelia Hommann, of Philadelphia, Pa. She died three years after ; and
he was again married, June 19, 1838, to Miss Harriette Elizabeth Hopkins, daughter of the late Dr. J. B. Hopkins, of Skeneateles.
He has three children, -- Charles Frederick, Edward Theodore, and Mary Helmenia.
